About Paula Stewart

I am a semi retired physical medicine and rehab rehabilitation physician. I worked 34 years as medical Director of inpatient rehab rehabilitation units. I now provide locum‘s care for physicians needing vacation or time off. My area of expertise in physical medicine and rehab rehabilitation is spinal cord injury with a special interest in cancer rehab rehabilitation, and Lymphedema. I was educated at Stanford University as an undergrad and received my masters from Stanford. My medical school education was at the University of Minnesota and my residency training was at the Mayo Clinic. I’ve had the experience of founding a certification organization called LANA or The Lymphology Association of North America. I am currently focused on organizing a wellness and longevity center in northern California.

My career was built upon a life of personal resilience. I was educated in the UK returning to California for the remainder of my education. in California, I was a West Coast champion in K 40 sailboat racing, had the experience of surviving a hurricane in a sailboat, put myself through Stanford, undergrad and masters programs, bicycle 2500 miles across Europe one summer with a friend. Through these experiences, I learned resilience, problem-solving, and survival.
