Mr. Jacobsen has worked as an attorney, insurance company adjuster, and a public adjuster. Anyone who owns a home or a business has to have insurance, and the value of that insurance is put to the test when they make a claim. As an insurance company insider for many years, as well as settling thousands of claims over a 25 year period, Mr. Jacobsen has an inside track into how insurance companies think. He harnesses this knowledge into helping to equip people to stand up to and remain steadfast against insurance company power – and to play to win.

Mr. Jacobsen covers a wide array of topics in his presentations. He speaks on the property insurance crisis in many states, providing an overview of what led to this point and the impact on policyholders; how to negotiate to win with your insurance company; a “look back” at his 30+ years in the industry and advice to practicing adjusters; and advice to Gen Z and Millennials as to what they need to look for in a policy.

To keep his abilities fresh, Mr. Jacobsen continues to work helping policyholders and insurance companies settle their claims. He is a pop music aficinado with an encyclopedic knowlege of the Billboard record charts spanning three decades. He and his wife were once contemporary Christian recording artists and Mr. Jacobsen wrote all of their songs. His greatest pleasure is hitting the open (often under construction) road in his motorhome. He brings these experiences as well as relatable humor to his presentations.
