About David Spencer

Dr. David A. Spencer is a faith-based mental health transformation specialist, international speaker, and ministry leader whose mission is to bring help, hope, and healing to men, women, families, and nations. Known for his deep compassion and biblical insight, Dr. Spencer helps individuals discover their authentic identity in Christ and build a strong kingdom mindset that leads to lasting transformation.

At the heart of his life’s work is his groundbreaking program, “Empowering Women to Influence the Next Generation for Life.” This signature course equips women to embrace their God-given purpose, develop emotional and spiritual resilience, and become world changers in their homes, churches, and communities. Through this initiative, Dr. Spencer is raising up women of faith who will nurture, teach, and empower future generations with wisdom, strength, and grace. His biblically grounded approach blends practical mental health strategies with the transformative power of Scripture, helping participants walk in freedom and purpose.

As the Founder of Freedom Ministries in Boston, Massachusetts, and CEO of The Worship Center International in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Dr. Spencer has spent decades leading transformative programs that restore families and strengthen communities. His work bridges faith and psychology, offering a holistic model for emotional healing, personal growth, and spiritual renewal.

Dr. Spencer is extensively trained and credentialed. He is an authorized DISC Human Behavior Consultant, Certified Anger Management Instructor through New Hope Anger Management in Florida, and a Certified Temperament Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association. He is also a Certified Christian Chaplain with Gordon Divinely Directed Ministry School of Chaplaincy and a trained Addiction Education and Substance Abuse Clinician through the Trundy Institute in Massachusetts.

A dynamic communicator and leadership mentor, Dr. Spencer is also a Certified Speaker, Trainer, Coach, and Mentor with The John Maxwell Team, Les Brown, Proctor/Gallagher, and Champion Mindset. His certification with the Center for Teacher Effectiveness in Classroom Management underscores his ability to connect with educators, families, and leaders alike.

He holds an Associate Degree from Christ for the Nations Bible Institute, a Bachelor’s and Master of Divinity from International Seminary, and a Ph.D. in the Philosophy of Pastoral Counseling from International Seminary, where his dissertation focused on recidivism. As an extended faculty member at International Seminary, he trains and mentors future ministry leaders and counselors.

Dr. Spencer is also a published author of four books, including “What Did You Say?” and “Apostolic Church Planting.” A gifted singer, songwriter, and worship leader, he uses music as a means of healing and praise. His professional experience includes serving as a clinician and counselor within the Department of Corrections, Juvenile Justice System, and Department of Education, where he has impacted lives across generations.

A Presidential Member of both the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the International Christian Coaching Association (ICCA), Dr. Spencer continues to lead with passion, integrity, and purpose. Through his message and his Empowering Women to Influence the Next Generation for Life program, he challenges audiences to walk in faith, cultivate emotional health, and leave a lasting legacy that honors God and transforms the world.
