Tracy “JackieO” LaTourrette, Colorado’s “First Lady” Fighter Pilot, is one of the first women in the world to fly fighter aircraft. Appointed to the U.S. Air Force Academy by President George H.W. Bush, Tracy commissioned with a BS in Human Factors Engineering along with 88% men. She graduated less than a decade after women first commissioned, and before women were even authorized to fly combat aircraft.As Deputy Director of Operations at the Colorado National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters, Tracy partnered with law enforcement and 1st responders during state emergencies.
She partnered with foreign militaries conducting counternarcotic operations internationally.
Tracy earned Expert Marksman, Aerial Achievements, Combat Readiness, Top Gun/Turkey Shoot Champion and more as an AWACS Air Weapons Director and F-16 Fighter Pilot over 22 years.
