Rev. Jason Carson Wilson is a Black gay United Church of Christ minister and North American Catholic priest, public theologian, journalist, and nonprofit leader who helps faith communities and justice advocates turn moral clarity into real-world change.
He is the founding executive director of the Bayard Rustin Liberation Initiative and the founding principal of Liberating Strategies, LLC. A sought-after speaker known for prophetic truth-telling with pastoral depth, Wilson explores the intersection of faith, race, LGBTQIA+ liberation, media, public policy, and spiritual resilience.
His work is rooted in Black, queer, and womanist theological traditions and shaped by a commitment to dismantling systems that endanger marginalized communities. Whether preaching, keynoting, or leading workshops, Wilson equips audiences to speak truth to power, build liberating narratives, and practice courageous, community-centered leadership.
