Captain James Evanow is a lifelong mariner, entrepreneur, and transformational speaker whose message is forged in real storms—both at sea and in life.

He began his career as a full-time commercial fisherman in 1978 and became captain in 1980, commanding multiple vessels and navigating some of the most dangerous waters on the West Coast. His leadership journey deepened after the tragic loss of his father in a boat wreck in 1987—an event that reshaped his life and ignited his calling to help others navigate their own storms.

After leaving the fishing industry to be home while his children grew up, James built and led multiple successful businesses, including a mortgage company he operated for a decade. For nearly 25 years, he has trained leaders in emotional intelligence, resilience, servant leadership, and personal empowerment, drawing from a lifetime of high-pressure decision-making on the water.
