Bernard Owens is a motivational speaker, TEDx speaker, author, and mental health clinician with over a decade of experience. Since 2015, he’s dedicated his life to helping thousands facing mental health and substance use challenges, working daily at an intervention crisis stabilization unit.
A former Delta Flight Attendant, Bernard left aviation in 2009 to answer a higher calling—attending Candler School of Theology at Emory University, one of the top seminaries in the country. After graduating in 2015, he immediately began serving in community mental health, bringing compassion, proven mental health interventions and practical insight to those in need.
His best-selling book, “The ONLY Thing Wrong With You, Is That You Think Something’s Wrong With You,” reflects his mission to challenge limiting beliefs and promote self-compassion.
Bernard’s message emphasizes that empathy, active listening, and emotional intelligence are essential for unlocking human potential, transforming lives, and building resilient, thriving workplaces.
