Mike Braham is a transformational leader and the visionary founder of the “Patient in Command” movement reaching over 11,000 leaders with a message of resilience and stewardship. With over 25 years of experience facilitating and speaking at leadership seminars, strategic offsites, medical technology forums, and men’s retreats, Mike brings a seasoned command to every stage.
A former USMC fighter pilot and elite instructor trainer, he translates the high-stakes discipline of “Situational Awareness” from the cockpit to the boardroom. After leadership roles in crisis management after 9-11, technology companies and healthcare industries, Mike’s perspective was profoundly sharpened by his “lived experience” surviving several near-death experiences, multiple spine surgeries during Covid, and a recent quadruple bypass. Mike has stories!
Today, Mike champions a “Total Patient” view of healthcare. He is leading at the intersection of physical health, behavioral health, and technology. Mike is an advocate for Healthcare 3.0, where he champions AI-integrated solutions that create “Early Warning Systems” in disease progression. His mission is to ensure that for future patients, “the disease you never saw coming, won’t be the one that shoots you down”. Mike inspires audiences to “grab the stick” of their own health and leadership journeys with clarity, faith, and purpose.
He currently serves on the board of the National Center for Healthy Veterans, dedicated to the restoration of the ‘whole person’—mind, body, and spirit, and also Intempo Health.
He comes to us today with a battle-tested framework for leadership and a personal motto: ‘Best wishes, study hard, and never say can’t, with God, all things are possible!’
