David Swihart has been speaking for over 25 years and is a Maxwell Certified Leadership Team Executive Program Director, a Certified DISC Behavioral Analyst, and an ordained pastor. He has a Master of Divinity degree focused on preaching and speaking.
David is passionate about helping businesses, nonprofits, and organizations build leaders and harness teams so that they can align their values, purpose, and mission, by providing keynote speaking, workshops, coaching, and leadership development and training experiences. He helps organizations communicate their story clearly to their clients, donors, and stakeholders so that they can maximize their impact.
David and his wife Liz reside in Springfield, IL with their two children, Ellise (21) and Sam (13). They have run their own business Next Steps Coaching, LLC for the past 10 years. David is also currently serving as the Senior Pastor at the Pawnee Christian Church in Pawnee, IL.
Before going full-time with Next Steps Coaching, David was the Executive Director of the Washington Street Mission, a homeless day center in Springfield, IL. He has also worked with and developed programs in churches for teenagers, young adults, and inner-city youth.
