In 1990, Ben Ortlip walked away from a prestigious position at a highly respected advertising agency. Despite the success of the role, he found himself asking, “How can a job this good be this bad?”
Searching for answers, Ortlip shifted his focus from writing for famous brands to studying the cultures that shaped them—the brand inside the organization. What followed became a thirty-year quest to understand what truly makes people happy, engaged, and productive at work.
Throughout that journey, Ortlip led projects for influential leadership organizations and thinkers, including The Drucker Institute, Ken Blanchard, John Maxwell, Henry Cloud, and Tony Robbins, while also helping shape workplace culture for major companies such as UPS, Delta, Salesforce, and Chick-fil-A.
Today, the insights from his decades of research are captured in The Culture MRI®, a system designed to measure organizational culture and help companies build workplaces where people and performance thrive.
