About Bill Bue

Bill Bue brings 48 successful years of experience in Orthopedic Sports Medicine, having built four companies throughout his career and leading innovation in movement, rehabilitation, and performance.

For the past 15 years, Bill has led Topical Gear, where he and his team are changing the way athletes and patients improve their daily movement. With a strong focus on Boomers and Seniors, Bill addresses a critical but often overlooked issue: undertrained thigh muscles that contribute to instability and falls. Through the T:25 Knees system, individuals regain mobility and stability—reducing falls and allowing them to remain active for many more years, without reliance on walkers or wheelchairs.

During COVID-19, when physician and physical therapy clinics were closed, a study compiled by Topical Gear’s lead orthopedic physical therapist followed 104 patients age 55+ using the T:25 Knees in their rehabilitation. Participants reported a mean return to activity or sport in just 40 days when rehab protocols were followed.

The T:25 Knee was awarded “New Technology of the Year” at the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine annual meeting in Colorado Springs (2016), validating Bill’s approach to improving mind-to-muscle communication.

In 1988, Bill became the first entrepreneur invited to join the prestigious ACL Study Group—previously limited to orthopedic surgeons and PhDs from around the world who study injury mechanisms, surgical procedures, and recovery protocols.

Throughout his career, Bill has also built two dominant national sales forces in orthopedic sports medicine, emphasizing that hiring, training, and leadership are the true keys to penetrating and influencing competitive markets.

His speaking topics include:

  • Essential Human Movement (focused on Boomers and Seniors)

  • Building and Leading High-Performance Sales Forces in Orthopedic Sports Medicine

  • Performance and Injury Prevention: A Real Perspective for Parents of Athletes

At the core of Bill’s success is a simple philosophy: hire and associate with people who will truly make a difference in the lives of others.
