Craig Brown is the founder of Stop Hiding Start Healing, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals break free from addiction, emotional pain, and the destructive patterns that hold them back from living a life of purpose and peace. With over two decades of experience as a speaker, author, and transformational coach, Craig has devoted his life to empowering others to confront their struggles with honesty, courage, and faith.
His journey from brokenness to breakthrough has become the foundation of his life’s mission. Having personally battled and overcome addiction, Craig understands the depth of despair that comes with hiding behind pain and the freedom that comes from healing through vulnerability, faith, and community. His story has become a source of hope for countless individuals navigating similar paths toward recovery and restoration.
Craig is the author of several influential works, including Stop Hiding Start Healing, My Daddy Drinks Too Much, My Gratitude Journal, From Hiding to Healing Workbook, and More Than Sobriety – Healing The Soul On The Journey To Complete Recovery. Each resource reflects his compassionate approach to emotional recovery, self-discovery, and faith-based healing.
As a mental health advocate and thought leader, Craig has reached thousands through his involvement in faith-based recovery programs, notably Celebrate Recovery, as well as through workshops, retreats, and national speaking engagements. His Stop Hiding Start Healing Podcast and online courses provide practical tools and spiritual encouragement for those seeking long-term transformation.
Craig’s message is clear healing begins when we stop pretending and start engaging with the truth of our pain. From corporate wellness events to faith conferences and recovery summits, his authentic, relatable, and deeply empathetic style resonates with audiences across all walks of life.
Currently based in the Washington, D.C. area with his wife and three sons, Craig continues to inspire, teach, and lead people toward the hope and wholeness that comes from embracing faith, resilience, and self-awareness.
