About Dr Beverly Sargent

Dr. Beverly R. Sargent is a nationally certified and licensed counselor, educator, author, and speaker dedicated to promoting mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. With over two decades of experience in counseling and pastoral care, she has become a trusted voice in integrating psychology, spirituality, and holistic health practices to foster healing and personal growth.

She earned both her Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling and Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Loyola University Maryland, where she developed her passion for blending faith-based principles with evidence-based counseling methods. Her advanced training includes Theraplay, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Grief and Loss Counseling, equipping her with powerful tools to support individuals, families, and children navigating life’s most difficult transitions.

Dr. Sargent is the creator of the innovative SANE© framework a holistic model built on Self-care, Spirituality, Sleep Hygiene, Affirmations, Nutrition, and Exercise helping clients structure their personal and emotional improvement one intentional step at a time. Her approach bridges the gap between clinical counseling and practical daily wellness, empowering people to take ownership of their healing journey.

In addition to her counseling expertise, Dr. Sargent is a Master Gardener certified by the University of Georgia Extension Service and holds certification in Integrative Medicine with a concentration in Nutrition. Her work reflects her belief that growth both emotional and physical starts from the ground up. She has produced and hosted several media programs, including the “Mental Health Moments” television series (2015–2020) and WOL 1450 AM radio shows (2020), using these platforms to educate and inspire audiences on mental health, grief, and holistic living.

Her community engagement is as extensive as her professional portfolio. Dr. Sargent has been actively involved in organizations such as the American Counseling Association, Association for Creative Counseling, and Association for Death Education and Counseling, among others. As a licensed minister and certified community chaplain, she leads with compassion and purpose, extending her ministry through her counseling practice, Ashes Rising Counseling & Coaching Services, and co-ownership of A Servant’s Heart Youth Ministries, Inc., and The Promised Land Ranch–International.

An accomplished author, Dr. Sargent has published two impactful books When My Daddy Died and When My Mommy Died which guide children through grief with empathy and understanding. She currently has three more books scheduled for release in 2026, aimed at strengthening parent-child and caregiver relationships. Beyond her clinical and literary achievements, Dr. Sargent is an advocate for environmental stewardship and community education. Since 2023, she has become a go-to expert on composting and sustainable gardening, sharing her expertise in schools, community events, and local celebrations.

Deeply rooted in faith, family, and service, Dr. Sargent continues to live her message of growth, healing, and purpose. Married to her husband, Minister Reginald, for over 42 years, and a proud mother to their son RJ, she embodies the principles she teaches resilience, compassion, and transformation.
