Hernandez Havard is a father of three grown children—one biological daughter and two stepchildren- he was a lifelong community activist and leader. His family reflects the values he stands for, with children pursuing careers in law, public service, and blue-collar work.
Hernandez has worked as an autoworker and a Tennessee state employee and is a strong supporter of the middle class. He is the founder of the Boys and Girls Club of Maury County, now known as the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Tennessee, created to support and mentor young people in the community.
