James Ebomoyi is a 14-time scholarship winner who has proven that paying for college doesn’t have to mean piling on student loans. After winning fourteen scholarships in a single year, he decided to start teaching the same strategy-first approach he used to help others secure real college funding.

James’s work is built on a simple mission: make scholarships practical and winnable for students who don’t have extra time, extra money, or “perfect” credentials. He focuses on the parts most advice skips—timing, criteria, and the probability behind what actually gets funded—so readers can stop guessing and start making smarter choices.

A graduate of DePaul University, James earned his Master’s in Elementary Education. His scholarship wins came after real pressure—work instability, family responsibilities, and the urgency of covering classes not fully paid by loans—forcing him to learn what scholarship committees reward and how to position himself clearly. His heart dwells with those who are overlooked, disadvantaged and underrepresented. He has spent several years volunteering and working with programs in the Chicago and Little Village area which cater to at-risk youth and low-income families.
