Jesse Quinalty is a Master Instructor and the owner of Red Helmet Training in Southern California, which houses four classrooms and a command training center. He retired as a Training Battalion Chief for the Calimesa Fire Department and was a Captain for 17 years with the San Bernardino County Fire Department, working in all areas of the county.
Jesse specializes in training on teamwork, group dynamics, leadership, and decision-making. He has been fortunate to be in the wrong place at the wrong time on several occasions. He has been the Incident Commander for multiple structure fires and other incidents, including city-wide flooding during two monsoon storms. He was involved in a burnover during the Sawtooth Incident and credited with saving the engine crew with his command presence.
He has authored several articles in fire service magazines and has recently published a book titled Rescue Me: Strategies and Tactics for Employee Fires.
He is also the producer and host of the monthly video series “Firefighters in Fire Trucks Getting Ice Cream” and “The Firefighter Book Club”.
Over the last few years, Jesse has been transitioning from teaching firefighters to working with business and corporate clients.
