My story doesn’t begin with privilege, connections, or an easy path. It begins with a single mother doing everything she could to keep us afloat, and with a father who walked away the day I was born.

I was adopted by the man I would come to call “Pop,” and I loved him deeply. Parts of his family, however, made sure I knew I wasn’t “blood.” When Pop pushed me hard, he said that it was because he was trying to make something of me. At the time, I took that to mean that he thought that I was nothing then. Those moments, stacked one on top of another, carved a belief into me that I carried for decades: that I wasn’t enough.

I grew up on a chicken farm, working with my hands in their waste, surrounded by reminders—spoken and unspoken—that I didn’t quite belong.

But here’s the truth I didn’t understand then— that pain became my fuel.

Even as a kid, I had a vision come to me of a very different future. I can see it as clearly today as the day it came to me: I was leading companies, building communities, creating something bigger than anything around me. I didn’t know how I’d get there. I just knew I would.

I started as a carpenter. No degree. No connections. No shortcuts. No Mentors. Just grit, hunger, a relentless inner drive and a commitment to becoming the person I saw in that vision. Over the next 35 years, I climbed to senior executive roles in operations, marketing, branding, business development, pre‑construction, and commercial mixed‑use real estate development. Every time someone told me I didn’t belong, I rose higher. Every time I was overlooked, I worked harder. Every time doubt crept in, which was daily, I pushed forward anyway.

Eventually, I stepped away from corporate life and built something of my own.

Today, I’m the founder of a national brand made up of a group of vertically integrated companies spanning commercial mixed-use real estate investments, debt and equity capital funds, commercial and residential realty, steel structures distribution, commercial and residential property management & maintenance, direct to real estate owner marketing, and a business/real estate education and mentorship.

My companies are featured in major media outlets regularly. I speak across the country and in January of 2026, a documentary will share my journey—from abandonment to national industry leader in the Commercial Mixed-Use Real Estate Industry.

I’ve received state and national entrepreneurial awards, built a powerful business ecosystem, and created opportunities for others. But none of that is the real victory.

The real victory is this: After a lifetime of trying to prove it to myself, I finally realized that I had been worthy all along, and I am in the unique position to share my story to let others know that they, too, can overcome anything!
