I am Professor Pakesta Washington, MSN Ed., RN, a nurse educator and mental health advocate who speaks openly and passionately about my lived experience with bipolar disorder. I have presented to nursing faculty, students, and several healthcare audiences on bipolar disorder, mental health awareness, stigma reduction, and emotional wellness. Through personal storytelling and education, I create safe, engaging spaces with open- ended conversations about mental health.
My presentations are designed to educate, empower, and encourage compassion while reminding individuals—especially those in healthcare—that they are not alone. I believe the key to delivering a successful presentation is keeping the audience engaged. I am committed to fostering understanding, healing, and resilience through honest conversations.
“My mission is rooted in the belief that healing begins when people feel seen, heard, and supported.”
