Born in a village where people know each other, community cohesiveness has always been one of LeJoy’s BIGGEST passions. He ascribes to Kennedy’s “Don’t ask what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country” and Mother Teresia’s “Be the change you want to see in the world”. Paul founded All About The Bay, an association that promotes small businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. He also founded Curb Appeal, a movement that encourages pride in homeownership and safety
Born in Muambong, a tiny jungle village in Cameroon, Africa, Paul LeJoy has always had a BIG Heart for people. He saw his poor mother work excruciatingly hard as a peasant farmer and vowed to elevate her and his village people to a better life. The way out of this abject poverty was education. Paul listened earnestly to Voice of America on Short Wave Radio and read every material he could get his hands on.
He walked for miles to school in the cold. Seven years later, he graduated from elementary school and made his way to middle school, where he graduated 5 years later. He moved to Limbe, the balmy city on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Paul continued to study hard. His hard work earned him a Cameroon Government scholarship to study Radio, Film, and TV Production in England.
His hard work continued. He graduated with honors and continued with a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Economics. That’s when he discovered the 4 Dragons of East Asia: Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea and Hong Kong. These little countries intrigued him. Instead of heading back to Cameroon, Paul flew to Taiwan, intending to be there for a year. However, he fell in love with the technological and economic advancement of this tiny island nation, and his 1-year intention morphed into 7 years.
Paul loved it in Taiwan, especially after publishing his first book, Black in Taiwan, which brought him a ton of fame and accolades. In 2001, Paul relocated to Silicon Valley, California, where he has witnessed tech behemoths take over the world. Paul is always intrigued by what humans are capable of doing together.
He has shared stages with business greats like Brian Tracy, Robert Allen, and Sunil Tulsiani. Paul knows mass communication, tech, and real estate. He is passionate about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and loves to compose and play worship music. Paul is charismatic, energetic, and a great ballroom dancer.
