Paul Underwood was raised on a working farm in the Ozarks of Missouri, where faith, hard work, and perseverance were learned early. A graduate of Seymour High School, Paul followed a lifelong calling into ministry and has served as pastor to seven small churches, often bivocationally while supporting his family through work in auto body repair, remodeling, and other trades.
Paul is a widower, a father of three grown children, a grandfather to seven, and a great-grandfather. Having personally navigated major health challenges including a kidney transplant and hip replacement, he brings a depth of resilience, perspective, and credibility to his message. He is a strong advocate for lifelong learning and continual personal growth.
Beyond the local church, Paul has served as an administrator for two Christian schools (grades 1–12) as well as a small Bible college. These experiences have shaped his passion for leadership development, organizational health, and culture building. His core message centers on becoming a Difference Maker—a leader who operates with vision, influence, and purpose.
Paul teaches that vision gives direction and momentum, much like blueprints guide construction. Influence is built through example, as leaders earn trust by doing what they ask of others. Purpose, both immediate and long-term, sustains growth by accomplishing today’s mission while preparing people for tomorrow.
Paul Underwood’s passion is helping people grow, lead well, and become true Difference Makers in their churches, organizations, families, and communities.
