Pressley Giles, Jr. is an educator, advocate, and survivor whose life and work center on resilience, truth-telling, and social impact. Living HIV positive for nearly 30 years, Pressley brings a powerful lived-experience perspective to conversations about public health, stigma, trauma, and healing. His story is not one of statistics, but of survival, accountability, and hope.
As the founder of Speaking Positively Resilient, a speaking and educational program under Priority Value Investments (PVI4U.ORG), Pressley addresses college and university audiences on topics including HIV awareness, bullying, childhood sexual abuse, and domestic violence from the child’s point of view. His presentations are trauma-informed, educational, and rooted in authenticity—meeting students where they are while challenging misconceptions and encouraging empathy.
Pressley’s work bridges public health, mental wellness, and lived experience, offering students a rare opportunity to learn directly from someone who has navigated stigma, adversity, and survival over decades. His mission is to reduce stigma, empower young adults with knowledge, and foster resilient communities through honest dialogue and education.
