About Robert Sharp

With a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Robert began his career applying rigorous technical problem-solving to complex systems. But he felt called to serve people more directly, earning a Master of Divinity and spending nine years as a pastor, learning to guide individuals through life’s most difficult transitions and to lead communities through change with empathy and wisdom.

When Robert returned to the technical world, he brought both perspectives with him. During 18 years at AT&T, he became what he describes as “an Engineer with the heart of a Pastor and a Pastor with the mind of an Engineer” – leading close-knit teams through the emotional turbulence of constant reorganizations and downsizing while delivering innovative technology solutions. He earned his CISSP certification, secured software patents, and developed deep expertise in cybersecurity and enterprise systems.

Today, as founder and CEO of CyberEthics, Robert helps small and mid-sized businesses navigate the AI revolution. But his approach is distinctive: he addresses not just the technical implementation of data governance, cybersecurity, and AI automation, but also the very real human fears and anxieties that leaders and their teams face in this moment of profound technological change.

Robert is pursuing ICF executive coaching certification, bringing his accumulated dimensions – engineering rigor, pastoral care, technology leadership, and hard-won wisdom about sustaining yourself through demanding roles – to help mid-career and senior professionals navigate their own transitions with intention and hope.
