Rodney Barr is an accomplished athletic professional with over 22 years of experience in educational leadership, coaching, and sports administration.
He currently serves as the Head Football Coach and Physical Education Teacher at C.A. Johnson High School in Columbia, SC.
His extensive career includes serving as the Director of Athletics for the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie and as a District Athletic Director for the Jasper County School District. A veteran of the South Carolina Army National Guard with eight years of service, Rodney holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s degree from NYIT University.
He is also a Certified Athletic Administrator and maintains teaching certifications across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Throughout his career, Rodney has demonstrated a profound commitment to student-athlete development and program excellence. His coaching leadership has been recognized with numerous accolades, including multiple “Coach of the Year” honors.
His expertise spans athletic administration, recruiting, character development, and leadership development, making him a cornerstone in the highly competitive athletic programs he leads.
