About Russell Blatt
Russ Blatt is married, a father of twins, living on Long Island, in his mid-50s, living a full life with many ups and downs.

In his 20s, Russ faced and had open heart surgery, completely changing his life and his belief structure.
Russ had a unique relationship with his father, playing softball with him for over 30 years. Through that time, Russ found that his father was teaching him life lessons through a simple game and spending those few hours together each week.  Just before his heart surgery, Russ weighed over 300 pounds and has worked from that day forward to maintain his current weight under 200 pounds, always aiming for 190 pounds or less.  Russ has unique work and life experiences, and he has used these diverse views and experiences to form a personalized perspective on the world around him.

Russ can speak to almost anyone.  Russ has the desire to help people, and because of his experiences, his audience can be many.  He can be a motivational speaker to those who are questioning their beliefs and see the world preventing them from succeeding.  He can also speak to those who believe that they cannot get “out of their own shadows” or face their own obstacles.  Russ has outlined unique talks such as “How Sledding Can Prepare You for Life” or “Why Everyone Must Do an obstacle race”.  He also talks about facing all of life’s problems at once, his heartfelt relationship with his father, and more.  Russ’s goal is to have people leave his talk with the belief that they are leaving a better person than they were when they walked in and that their life now has a stronger purpose.

Russ’s talks will matter because they can reach anyone and everyone.  We all have had self-beliefs that, at one point, are questioned internally.  We all have parents, and whether the relationship is positive or not, we have lessons to learn from them.  Life is not easy and is constantly changing.  Russ wants to help people find clarity and peace and become inspired.

Russ has open heart surgery scheduled for January 8, 2026.  While no talk is planned related to that event, he can easily speak about this now, facing life-changing surgery at 55, as opposed to 24.
