About Larry Agee

Larry Agee is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Disaster Aid USA, a veteran-led nonprofit delivering rapid, boots-on-the-ground disaster relief across the United States and around the world. With more than 20 years of frontline disaster response experience, Larry has personally led or supported over 70 domestic disaster deployments and 14 international missions, including operations in war-torn regions, famine zones, and areas controlled by hostile militias and warlords.

Larry’s disaster work spans hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, wildfires, and humanitarian crises, often in environments where logistics, security, and access are life-threatening challenges. His international experience includes deployments to Pakistan, South Sudan, East Africa, Ukraine, Turkey, India, Haiti, Honduras, and other high-risk regions—some under UN Peacekeeper protection, others amid the dangers posed by Taliban-controlled areas and extremist warlords. In Ukraine alone, his teams have helped feed tens of thousands of refugees, deploy trauma medics near the front lines, deliver ambulances, clean-water systems, medical supplies, shelter, and protective equipment—while operations remain ongoing.

Domestically, Larry has been on the front lines of many of America’s most devastating disasters, including Hurricanes Katrina, Harvey, Laura, Ida, Ian, Helene, Milton, the Maui wildfires, major tornado outbreaks across the South and Midwest, and catastrophic floods throughout Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and Mississippi. His leadership blends real-world logistics, volunteer coordination, heavy-equipment operations, and survivor care, with a strong emphasis on restoring dignity and hope—not just infrastructure.

Beyond disaster response, Larry is a U.S. Army Desert Storm veteran, a John Maxwell–Certified Public Speaker, and a Les Brown–Certified Legendary Speaker. He has been recognized nationally for service, including the Invest in Others Foundation National Volunteer of the Year Award, one of the highest honors in philanthropic leadership. He also received the Rotary International Service Above Self Award, its highest Service Award with over 1.3 million members. He serves in leadership roles within Rotary International disaster networks and Districts, helping train and equip disaster response teams worldwide.

As a speaker, Larry delivers powerful, real-life stories from the world’s most challenging environments—stories of leadership under pressure, moral courage, crisis decision-making, resilience, faith, teamwork, and servant leadership. His presentations resonate with audiences ranging from Rotary clubs, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, corporations, emergency-management professionals, and leadership conferences.

Larry lives what he teaches: that hope is often restored through action, and that ordinary people—when trained, equipped, and willing—can make an extraordinary impact in the darkest moments.
