About Thomas Hubler

Thomas “Tom” Hubler is a nationally recognized expert in family business consulting, devoted to helping families of wealth and family-owned enterprises thrive across generations.

With a background in therapy, Tom shifted into family business consulting in 1990, leveraging his understanding of family dynamics to help businesses overcome conflict, communication barriers, and complex relational issues. Over more than three decades, he has advised 500+ private family businesses and influenced many more through his speaking and published work.

Tom is a founding member and fellow of the Family Firm Institute (Boston) and has taught family business management as a professional-in-residence at the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN). He has been featured in national media such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and appeared on NBC’s TODAY show.

At Hubler for Business Families, Tom helps client families develop a shared vision, identify individual and collective strengths, face unspoken challenges, and build strategies for both business and family success. He is also the author of The Soul of the Family Business, a book that blends practical approaches with deeper insights into values, legacy, and the “soul” that underlies long-term success.
