"Transforming high-stakes insights into profound human connections."
Rabbi Shaul Ben Danyiel has stood in rooms that most speakers only read about. He has briefed senior commanders in military intelligence operations where the stakes were mission-critical and the margin for error was zero. He has addressed hundreds of soldiers preparing to deploy into civil unrest. He led a Passover Seder in the home of the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq in Baghdad. He delivered Holocaust Memorial addresses to packed auditoriums in Kuwait. He has counseled grieving families, spoken to the American Red Cross, activated for domestic disasters including the Santa Barbara mudslides and the COVID pandemic response, and spoken to hundreds of ROTC cadets at Fort Knox. He does not draw from theory. He draws from a life lived at the intersection of military service, spiritual leadership, and human resilience.
A veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, Shaul began his military career as a paratrooper before advancing into roles as an Arabic linguist and intelligence analyst with the California Army National Guard. He later earned his commission as an Army Chaplain, serving more than twelve years across the National Guard and Army Reserve with deployments to Kuwait, Iraq, Poland, and Germany. As a Rabbi for over twenty-two years, he has led congregations, officiated military memorial services, and provided pastoral care to service members and their families in some of the most emotionally charged environments imaginable.
Beyond the uniform, Shaul is a published author of five books spanning military strategy, scripture, language, and economics. His titles include Biblical Battles and Military Strategies, Beneath the Depth of Redemption: Jonah's Journey, Biblical Names: The Prophetic Implications of Baby Boy Names, Figs Deeper Mysteries: Food and Creation, and Trump's Taxes and Tariffs: No Need to Panic. He is also an educator and federal audit expert who holds an MBA in Global Management and Accounting, taught at DeVry University and Keller Graduate School of Management, and served as a Guest Instructor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency. He is fluent in Hebrew, Arabic, Spanish, and English, and his writing and teaching regularly appear across faith, military, and professional communities.
What makes Shaul unlike any other speaker is the combination: a paratrooper who became a rabbi, a linguist who became a chaplain, a federal auditor who has counseled soldiers in deployment zones and spoken on stages from Baghdad to Fort Knox. He brings calm authority, deep empathy, and the kind of grounded wisdom that can only come from a life spent serving others in the most high-stakes moments imaginable. Every audience he stands before leaves with something real, something that lasts far beyond the event itself.
