Exploring the Greater Human - where healing, consciousness, forgotten wisdom, and science meet human possibility.
Steven A. Ross, Ph.D., is an author, international lecturer, researcher, and co-founder and president of the World Research Foundation. For more than 50 years, he has explored a question that has shaped both his life and his work: What is the human being actually capable of? His investigations have taken him across the worlds of complementary medicine, consciousness, dreams, energy and bioelectromagnetic approaches to healing, ancient philosophy, spirituality, and the often-forgotten pioneers who challenged conventional ideas about human potential.
As curator of the World Research Foundation's extraordinary research library—more than 15,000 physical volumes, including works dating to the eleventh century, together with tens of thousands of historical and contemporary digital works—Ross has spent decades following ideas across civilizations and centuries. His research brings figures such as Plato, Plotinus, Paracelsus, Ficino, and Robert Fludd into conversation with modern investigations of consciousness, medicine, energy, and the nature of reality. Rather than asking audiences simply to believe extraordinary claims, he invites them to remain curious, examine the evidence, and consider a deceptively simple question: What have human beings actually been observed to do?
The author of six books and a veteran of hundreds of lectures, interviews, and podcasts, Ross brings an unusual combination of historical scholarship, personal experience, scientific curiosity, and spiritual inquiry to the stage. His presentations range from The Greater Human and the forgotten history of healing to dreams, consciousness, human potential, and the meeting place of science and spirituality. At the heart of his work is an invitation to rediscover what centuries of human experience may still have to teach us—and to approach the possibilities of being human with a beautiful heart, an open mind, and a humble spirit.
